The Anglican Men's Association is the umbrella body for the Men's Fellowships across the Dicoese. It was offically launched on August 24th 1976. Membership of the Association is open to all Men's Fellowships or Men's Groups who accept the aims and objectives of the Association. Some of the aims and objectives include, to build up together our life in Christ and to promote fellowship among Christian men through worship, prayer and service; to promote good family life and create among men an awarness to be responsible citizens; to assist the poor and needy and to visit the shut-ins. The motto is " In Fellowship and Witness For Christ and His Church". The current Preisdent is Mr David Worrell and the Chaplain is The Rev Anthony Harewood.
The AYMC was orginally established in 1994 as the Anglican Youth Ministry Service. The aim of the Council is to supoort the development of Anglican Youth work in the Diocese. This includes training, resource materials, support and advice. Over the years the AYMC has curated numerous events to mobilise the youth in the Diocese including retreats, rallys, services and sporting events. The AYMC is headed by the full-time Youth Director. The current YD is Mrs Deon Connell and The Rev Davidson Bowen is the Youth Chaplain.
The Barbados Church Army is the oldest organization in the Diocese of Barbados. It was introduced into Barbados by Rev Robert William Menzies, Vicar of St Silas and St Alban in 1897. It was reported that the first Battalion was formed at St. Silas. The organisation was offically recogized as a Diocesan Organisation in 1931. Its motto is "Working Together in God's Vineyard". Each Battalion is commissioned to offer a special ministry of evangelism, pastoral care and out reach to the poor, the housebound, the lapsed?inactive members and the unchurched within their parish. The current Diocesan President is Captain Corene Armstrong and the Chaplain is The Rev Erma Ambrose.
The BDASA was formed on October 25, 1948 through the initative of Wilfred Rogers Chief Server of St Stephen Church and The Rev Canon William Harvey Read. The 1st six female servers were admitted into the Association on Sunday 27th November, 1983. Their Anniversary Service is held every year on Whit Monday. The Chaplain is The Rev Canon George Harewood and the current President is Mr Earl Cumberbatch.
The Mothers' Union is a worldwide Christian women's organisation in the Anglican Communion. It was founded by Mary Sumner in England in 1876. The Barbados union was founded on 24 June 1913. The BMU is supports family life and at the heart of the ministry is prayers which develop our personal relationship with God and others; faith in action by supporting families; participating in advocacy for human rights; to build a network that would assist and support parents to bring up their children in the Christian faith. The President is Mrs Joyce Sealy and the Chaplain The Rev Canon Beverley Sealy-Knight
The Barbados branch of The Woman's Auxiliary was formed on November 28, 1917. It is a soceity of church women organised for the purpose of prayer and working for the assistance and extension of Christ Kingdom on earth. The mandate of the organisation is Worship, Work and Witness. The WA has supported missions at home and abroad from its inception. The Gambia and Rio Pongas mission among others. The WA is currently headed by Ms Oneta Clarke with The Rev Audrey Griffith as Chaplain.
